Shakib Al Hasan is not going to play PSL 2021
Shakib Al Hasan is not playing in Pakistan Super League (PSL). He has decided to take part in the Dhaka Premier League (DPL), the highest domestic cricket event.
Shakib Al Hasan wants to play in the Premier League for Mohammedan, not PSL for Lahore Calenders.
He informed the BCB in writing about his wish through the club officials of Mohammedan on Tuesday.
The Dhaka Premier League for the T20 edition is scheduled to start from May 31. Shakib has decided to play for Mohammedan in the Premier League instead of playing in PSL.
Shakib Al Hasan Is Not Going To Play PSL
Earlier, three Bangladeshi cricketers Shakib, Mahmudullah and Liton Das got a chance to play in the sixth edition of PSL in the transfer draft.
Shakib was taken by Lahore Calenders, Mahmudullah by Multan Sultans and Liton by Karachi Kings.
PSL stopped midway two months ago due to Corona. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) wants to start the rest of the suspended PSL from June 1.
Meanwhile, Mohammedan submitted a letter to the CCDM on Monday. Mohammedan official Tariqul Islam said, “We have submitted a letter signed by Shakib to the CCDM today.
Shakib wrote in the letter that he is interested in playing in the Premier League for us.
