সকাল-বিকাল মোবাইলে বিজ্ঞাপনের বিরক্তিকর এসএমএস নিয়ে বিপদে আছেন? সকালে এই অফার তো দুপুরে আরেক অফার। আবার রাতের আপনার মোবাইল ভরে থাকছে অযাচিত ম্যাসেজে। তবে এ যন্ত্রনা থেকে আপনার মুক্তির সময় এসেছে। চাইলে এখন সহজেই আপনার মোবাইলে বিজ্ঞাপনের এসএমএস বন্ধ করতে পারবেন।
বাংলাদেশ টেলিযোগাযোগ নিয়ন্ত্রণ কমিশন (বিটিআরসি) সম্প্রতি এ ধরনের খুদে বার্তা বন্ধের উপায় জানিয়েছে। বিটিআরসির বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে জানানো হয়েছে, সেবার মান আরও উন্নত করতে ‘ডু নট ডিস্টার্ব বা ডিএনডি’ সেবা চালু হয়েছে। মুঠোফোনে বাণিজ্যিক প্রচারণামূলক খুদে বার্তা না পেতে চাইলে ইউএসডিডি কোড ডায়াল করে চালু করা যাবে এ সেবা।
গ্রাহকদের অভিযোগ
গ্রাহকদের অভিযোগ, এসব এসএমএস শুধু বিরক্তিকরই নয়, বরং অনেক ক্ষেত্রে প্রতারণারও সুযোগ তৈরি করে। অনেকেই অজান্তে কিছু কোড ডায়াল করে অপ্রয়োজনীয় সার্ভিস চালু করে ফেলেন, যার ফলে প্রতিদিন বা মাসে বাড়তি চার্জ কেটে নেয় অপারেটর।
নিয়ন্ত্রক সংস্থার নির্দেশনা
বাংলাদেশ টেলিযোগাযোগ নিয়ন্ত্রণ কমিশন (বিটিআরসি) জানিয়েছে, গ্রাহকরা চাইলে এসব অনাকাঙ্ক্ষিত বিজ্ঞাপনের এসএমএস বন্ধ করতে পারেন। এজন্য প্রত্যেক মোবাইল অপারেটরের নির্দিষ্ট কোডে “STOP” লিখে পাঠাতে হবে অথবা USSD কোড ব্যবহার করতে হবে।
ভোক্তা সংগঠনের দাবি
ভোক্তা অধিকার সংগঠনগুলোর দাবি, গ্রাহকের স্বার্থ রক্ষায় একটিভ একক সিস্টেম চালু করা জরুরি। একইসঙ্গে গ্রাহকের পূর্বানুমতি ছাড়া কোনো প্রোমোশনাল মেসেজ পাঠানো থেকে বিরত থাকতে হবে অপারেটরদের।

বিটিআরসি বিজ্ঞপ্তি বলেছে, মোবাইল অপারেটরদের নিত্যনতুন সেবা সম্পর্কে জানতে বাণিজ্যিক প্রচারণামূলক খুদে বার্তা সহায়ক ভূমিকা পালন করে। তবে ক্ষেত্রবিশেষে গ্রাহকদের কাছে এ ধরনের খুদে বার্তা প্রাপ্তি বিরক্তিকর বলে প্রতীয়মান হয়।
